Niger 2019: Babangida predicts easy victory for PDP

The former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), has predicted that the 2019 senatorial election in zone ‘B’ Niger State would be easily won by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the crisis-ridden ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

  He said that the APC appeared to have entangled itself into wobbling traps as if it was under a curse, while urging the opposition, PDP, to work more on sensitizing the electorates to have a landslide victory in next year’s election.

Ohuabunwa receives commendation on performance

Founder, Fountain of Joy Outreach Ministry and Public Relations Officer (PRO), Vote Okezie Again (VOA) Umuahia North, Abia State, Deacon Iheanyichukwu Echewodo, has applauded the empowerment project efforts of Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, the lawmaker representing Abia- North Senatorial zone.

  He said that his projects were in tandem with his campaign promises.  

  Echewodo said that the senator, who has a record of proven competence and remarkable legacy, has continued to improve on record of performance.

The controversy trailing President Muhammadu Buhari’s West African School Certificate (WASC) has taken a new dimension with a fresh war of words between the Presidency and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Trouble plaguing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over Senatorial and House of Representatives primaries in Niger State has continued to increase as another contestant, Alhaji Jafaru Ilyasu, has threatened to sue the party over his loss.

  Alhaji Jafaru, the presumed winner of the House of Representatives primaries for Magama-Rijau Federal constituency said that he was not happy or ready to accept the substitution of his name with that of Alhaji Shehu Saleh, whom he said did not contest for the party primaries.

Buhari mourns former minister, Anthony Anenih

President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his condolences to the Anenih family on the death of its patriarch, Chief Anthony Anenih.

The President who also commiserated with the government and people of Edo State and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) described the late Anenih as a frontline figure in the annals of the country’s political history.

President Buhari affirmed that across the political spectrum of Nigeria, Chief Anenih was known for his strong views on issues pertaining to the unity and stability of the nation.

Breaking: Tony Anenih is dead

Nigeria’s former Minister of Works and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, is dead Anenih, 85, died on Sunday evening at Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja, where he was receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
According to Wikipedia, Mr Anthony Akhakon Anenih was born in Uzenema-Arue in Uromi.
In 1951 he joined the Nigeria Police force in Benin City. Working at home, he obtained secondary school qualifications.
