Odumakin insists things have worsened, faults Buhari’s electoral promises

A former spokesperson to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Yinka Odumakin, has faulted the promises made by the President to improve the nation’s electoral process.
During an interview on Channels Television programme, Politics Today, he insisted that rather than any development to take place, the situation has worsened.
His words: “Rather than having reforms, we have had more deformities of the electoral process; vote buying has become a culture.”

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has called on Nigerians to take advantage of the Christmas to offer special prayers for peaceful, credible and violence-free general election in the country.
Ugwuanyi gave the advice in his Christmas message to Christians.

The Peoples Democratic Party Campaign Organisation (PDPCO) has alleged a plan by the presidency to frame opposition members of the National Assembly believed to have embarrassed President Muhammadu Buhari during last week’s budget presentation.

A mystery explosion at the weekend rocked the Enugu State Campaign headquarters of Barrister George Tabugbo Ogara, a factional governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State.
The governorship candidate was produced by the Deacon Okey Ogbodo faction of Enugu APC as against the guber candidacy of Senator Ayogu Eze, produced by the recognised APC state chairman, Dr. Ben Nwoye.
