Revealed: How Obiano, others are plotting to tarnish Obi’s image

Nigerians have been alerted about a plot to rubbish the image of Peter Obi, the vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general election.

Investigations by News Express reveal an alleged meeting recently in the Anambra State Government House, Awka, during which one of Obi’s former aides who currently serves as an aide of Governor Willie Obiano was reportedly mandated to address a press conference this weekend during which he is to make damaging allegations against Obi, the immediate past governor of the state.

Osun: No hiding place for criminals – Oyetola

Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has pledged government’s continued support to security agencies in the state, just as he declared that there is no hiding place for criminals in the state.

A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Niger State, Mr. Jonathan Vatsa, has said that the state was shortchanged in ministerial appointment by the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.
Vatsa, a former Commissioner of Information and Strategy and the state party ex-PRO, made the allegation in Minna.
He said that Niger State had been badly treated, despite its contributions to the victory of the APC in the 2015 and 2019 elections.

APC disqualifies ex-Cross River REC, clears Lokpobiri, Aganaba, others

The Bayelsa State Gubernatorial Primary Election Screening Committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has disqualified the immediate past Cross River State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr. Briyai Oyeins Frankland from participating in the August 29th primaries of the state.

Briyai, who recently resigned his appointment as REC citing home pressure, was reportedly disqualified for not being a card-carrying member of APC for up to one calendar year.

OGONI–born former militant leader, Solomon Ndigbara, has accused politicians and traditional rulers of being behind the perennial cult-related killings in Ogoni land.

Ndigbara also denied his alleged involvement in the resurgence of killings in the area.

He made the denial when he spoke on security challenges and possible solution in Ogoniland, in felicitation of a Pan African Award on Peace and Community Development bestowed on him in Ghana.
