Airport scam: Dickson is guilty as charged, says Bayelsa APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State has accused the government of Governor Seriake Dickson of lacking answers and trying to divert attention from “serious issues of accountability, due process and democratic governance” raised on Thursday, November 15, 2018, by the party on the state’s airport project.

The former Governor of Anambra State and the Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Peter Obi, has called on Muslims to emulate Prophet Mohammed in his belief in peace and to also work collectively toward achieving that.
In a statement by his aide, Mr. Valentine Obienyem, the former governor also called on Nigerians to think about the problems confronting the country and how they could individually contribute to their solutions as Muslims celebrate Eid El Maulud.

Buhari salutes Goodluck Jonathan at 61

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated former President Goodluck Jonathan as he turns 61 on Nov. 20.  

The president, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, in Abuja on Monday, joined Nigerians in sending warm greetings to the former President.

Imo APC: Nwosu’s name was never submitted to INEC –Uzodinma

The All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has dismissed Governor Rochas Okorocha’s recent assertion that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) relied on a forged court order to substitute his son in-law’s name, as a blatant lie. Okorocha had on Thursday said: “Information reaching me shows that a fake court order was used in removing the name of the candidate of APC in Imo State which is Uche Nwosu. That report seems to be very authentic and that is what INEC may have relied on to do what they did.

INEC worried over 175,678 uncollected PVCs in Enugu

Enugu

Enugu State Resident Electoral Commisioner of the Independent National Electoral Commisioner, (INEC), Dr Emeka Ononamadu, has expressed concern over the 175,678 uncollected Permanent Voters Cards in the state less than two months to 2019 general election.

  Ononamadu stated this at INEC headquarters in Enugu on Friday  during the CSO and IPAC stakeholders meeting on the state preparedness, party primaries and display of PVR.

2019: INEC lacks capacity to conduct credible polls – Wike

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) lacks the capacity to conduct credible polls in 2019.

  The governor said Nigerians should not be deceived by the statements usually released by INEC because the commission works negate its mandate.

  He spoke at the  Government House Port Harcourt on Thursday when he granted audience to the  Senate  Committee on INEC.

2015 presidential candidate of the National Conscience Party (NCP), Engineer Martin Onovo, has predicted that the Presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Mohammad Buhari, would lose the 2019 Presidential election woefully.

Bayelsa airport project is a ruse, says APC

The Bayelsa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the state airport project reportedly scheduled for inauguration as a cesspit of fraud.

  APC said that the project was a fraudulent scheme put up by Governor Seriake Dickson to facilitate the siphoning of state funds, according to a statement on Thursday in Yenagoa by the State Publicity Secretary, Doifie Buokoribo.

  The party advised Governor Dickson to be prepared to stand trial for this and other crimes against the people of Bayelsa State.

2019 Presidency: Igbo leaders endorse Atiku

Eminent Igbo leaders of all extraction yesterday in Enugu endorsed the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Mr. Peter Obi, ahead of the 2019 general elections.
