There seems to be a disagreement between the Bauchi State government and the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) , Bauchi, over the outbreak of Lassa fever in the state.

While the state government said  that there was no Lassa fever in the state, the teaching hospital insists that three persons have died of the disease.

Registered trustees of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations, founded by Prophet TB Joshua, on Monday, January 18, 2016, filed another suit seeking to stop the Lagos State government from prosecuting them over the death of 116 persons when a six-storey building collapsed on the premises of the church.
