A federal High Court in Abuja has remanded the spokesman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, in prison following his ‘not guilty’ plea to a seven-count charge of corruption and money laundering.

Liberia's Ebola epidemic is over, says the World Health Organization (WHO), effectively putting an end to the world's worst outbreak of the disease.

The "end of active transmission" was declared, after 42 days without a new case in Liberia.

It joins Guinea and Sierra Leone, which earned the status last year.

There is a new twist to the saga over the  2016 budget in the Senate.

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has revealed that the Senior Special Assistant to the President on the Senate, Senator Ita Enag, reproduced a budget document different from what President Buhari originally submitted to the National Assembly.

 

Mr. James Ikenna Onuoha, the ExxonMobil employee, who allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl has been arrested by the police.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmus, who confirmed the arrest, revealed that the case had been transferred to Zone 2 Command, Onikan.
