The chairmen of Football Associations in the North East zone of the country rose from their meeting in Bauchi on Sunday with a re-affirmation of their support for the leadership of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and its president, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick.

More than 230 Nigerian referees will be involved in this year’s FIFA Elite Member Association programme taking place from May 16 to 20, 2016 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The draws for the men and women competitions of this year’s Federation Cup will hold at the NFF/FIFA Technical Centre, Abuja on Thursday.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) strongman, Chief Tony Anenih, is alive, hale and hearty, his son, Eugene Anenih, a Lagos-based stockbroker confirmed on Wednesday, dispelling rumours of the demise of the veteran politician, popularly known as “Mr. Fix it”.

It was further gathered that Chief Anenih is in the United Kingdom on a private visit.
