Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has called on Igbo leaders to unite irrespective of their political and religious affiliations for peace and progress in Igbo land.

 He lamented that for quite a long time now Igbo leaders have allowed sectional and political differences to divide them.

The Special Adviser to Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, on Inter-party affairs, Onwe Gideon Ifeanyi, has urged states in the country that are owing their workers backlog of salaries to borrow a leaf from the state.

The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied sponsoring a faction of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Ali Modu Sherrif, the former governor of Borno State.

 

Some suspected members of the Boko Haram terrorist group have killed four persons and abducted four women from Kutuva village in Nigeria’s northeast Borno State.

The terrorists on six motorcycles attacked the village on Tuesday, a statement by a spokesman for the army, Colonel Sani Usman, said.

 

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released the highlights of the much awaited flexible foreign exchange market policy.

The highlights, which are key notes and agreements reached by the CBN, were released on Wednesday, weeks after the Monetary Policy Committee meeting announced the introduction of the policy.
