Professor Chukwuma Okonjo, the Obi of Ogwashiukwu and NLC Trustee, on Saturday, October 29, 2016 received the highest civil national award from the Government of Ghana.

 The award was conferred on him by President John Dramani Mahama in recognition of his stellar and distinguished contributions to the country’s education system. 

. Allege wrong diagnosis, drugs prescription

Patients are deserting Minna General Hospital, Niger State, allaging wrong diagnosis of their ailment and wrong prescription of drugs to them by officials of the hospital.

The board of the African Development Bank (AfDB) on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, approved a $600 million loan for Nigeria.

 The loan is to assist the country plug its budget deficit as it grapples with its first recession in more than 20 years.

Alhaji Abdullahi Dikko, the former comptroller-general of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) between 2009 and 2015 has returned about N1.4 billion to the federal government. The Punch reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) established that about N40 billion was diverted from the account of the NCS while he was in charge.
