APC North East stakeholders‎ pledge support for Buhari

The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in the North East zone have pledged to vote en mass to re-elect President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
They made the pledge at the end of the two days APC North East Zonal meeting in Bauchi on Sunday.
According to the stakeholders, Buhari’s administration has performed well in the region that earned him triple number of votes got 2015 in 2019.
The stakeholders, who spoke separately, declared that Buhari had done wonderfully in his first term in terms of development and getting out the region from the shackles of insurgency.
Comrade Mustapha Salihu who is the National Vice Chairman of the party in the region said that the president has done much for the North East region in terms of providing infrastructural development and removing the region from the shackles of insurgency.
"I want to say that this meeting is mainly endorsement meeting and to show appreciation to Mr President administration for salvaging us from the shackles of insurgency, no single kilometre or meter which is under a caliphate.
"To also reiterate our support come 2019 by given him triple number of votes that was given to him 2015.

"On the whole to map out strategies with the stakeholders to see how we will go about the forthcoming general elections to re-elect President Muhammadu Buhari for second term ," he said.

Also, Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State said that the president has done well, stressing that the region was net beneficiaries of his administration.
"We all know the sorry state of the country, we are the net beneficiaries of President Muhammadu Buhar's administration in terms of appointment, securing lives and properties and projects.
"Because the Mambilla Project in Gembu, Taraba State alone, that is Mambilla power project is game changer in this part of the world.
"Therefore North East is Buhari's territory, believe me the region will solely back president Buhari in 2019 general elections," he reiterated.
On his part the Senate Leader, Senator Ahmed Lawan, said that the senators of APC were more united after the defections and would continue to support the present administration on efforts to provide development in the country.
"We are committed, loyal, patriotic and we will continue to support the president to actualised Nigerians wishes, and we will be committed party members who are support the continuity of present administration.”
