Imo deputy governor condemns violence in Mbaitoli

The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, has condemned the violence that occurred in Amaike ward in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state on Monday, October 1, 2018, describing the incident as most unfortunate.

He said that the act that led to the burning of some vehicles belonging to a governorship aspirant under All Progressives Congress was wicked.
Madumere warned that violence must be eschewed for any society to progress, regretting the number of innocent people who sustained injuries during the incident.
Besides, he disassociated himself from the unfortunate incident, while calling on the security agencies to investigate the remote cause of the violence and ensure that those behind it were brought to book.
The deputy governor therefore urged the people of Mbaitoli and the state to be law-abiding as thuggery and violence were destructive.
