By Mohammed Abubakar, Damaturu

Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has applauded the initiatives of Yobe State Governor, Maimala Buni, on agriculture and environment.
The association’s National President, Khalil Mohammed Bello, stated made the commendation in Damaturu on Tuesday.
He said, "The governor has initiated several agricultural and environmental reforms within one year in office.
“This is changing the pattern of development.

"We are not surprised considering the fact that he's been an active grassroots politician since the year 1989 when he was first elected as Councillor in Buni ward of Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State. His political activities were mostly restricted to Yobe State, which enabled him to know the problems of the citizens".

He further said that "the 2020 cropping season will withness bumper harvest in recognition of the agricultural policies and programmes introduced by the state government.
"Farmers associations have been provided with brand new tractors and implements. The state is soon distributing free tree seedlings to people this season to address the problems of windstorm and desert encroachment.
"We as Fulani Group will continue to support the government as well as preach peace among our people to end farmers and herders clashes.”
