Breaking: APC inaugurates Boms to replace Giadom, suspends Aguma

By Valentine Amanze

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday inaugurated Mr Worgu Boms, a barrister, as the party’s Acting Deputy National Secretary.

He succeeded the expelled former Deputy National Secretary, Victor Giadom, who resigned to contest as the deputy governorship candidate during the 2019 general election.
Also, the crisis rocking the Rivers State chapter of the party has worsened following the rejection of Igo Aguma as its acting chairman by 28 out of 38 statutory members of the party.

The statutory members resolved to suspend Aguma as the acting Chairman and constituted another caretaker committee led by Sokonte Davies.
Meanwhile, the statutory members have said that Aguma was acting against the spirit and letters of the High Court judgement that made him a caretaker chairman.
