The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Vanguard of Paikoro Local Government Area has debunked allegation of certificate forgery leveled against the party's chairmanship flag bearer for the forthcoming councils election, Yakubu Yohanna.
In a statement by the group’s chairman, Camrade Yakubu Isyaku, the APC Youth Vanguard described the allegations by the Garkuwa Campaign Organization as baseless, misleading and urged the people to disregard it.
The group said, "GRADE II certificate paraded by the petitioner is a self formulated result to mislead the public. It should be disregarded.
"Moreover, the school in question has for long dissociated itself from the forged certificate and has also authenticated the certified true copy of the GRADE II certificate presented by the flag bearer."
However, it said, “Garkuwa Campaign Organisation is not a registered organization and has never been recognized by the party.”
Ishaku stated that consequently, all necessary arrangements to file a criminal case of forgery and defamation of character was already in place.
"We hereby call on all our teaming supporters to disregard any information from the said organization," the group added.
