Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has assured that his administration would complete abandoned or ongoing projects in the state.
He explained that ignoring them would amount to wasting yhe public funds already sunk into them.

Family of Police inspector killed by soldiers demand justice

Family members of late Mark Edeale, a police inspector who was one of those allegedly killed by army officers in Taraba State are demanding for justice.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, the elder brother to the slain police officer said the family is not after any form of compensation from the government.

Rather, according to him, the family is only seeking a thorough investigation that will bring all the perpetrators to book.

He, therefore, called on the Federal Government and international bodies to intensify efforts towards ensuring justice.

President Muhammadu Buhari has relieved Senator Ita Enang as his aide on National Assembly Matters (Senate).
The president appointed Enang, a former senator from Akwa Ibom State, as Senior Special Assistant during his first term.
Enang is among several other aides of the president who continued with their appointments in previous capacities without renewal, since Buhari began a second term.

How armed men invaded UI hostel again, injured two

Armed men numbering about 15 suspected to be robbers have yet again invaded another hall of residence in the University of Ibadan.

The armed men stormed the Abdulsalami Abubakar Hall of residence which is comprised of four blocks and houses housing postgraduate students, carting away valuables and injuring two male students.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Idowu Olayinka, who confirmed the attack to Channels TV via the phone call, said the attack took place in the female wing of the hostel around 2 am.

Homosexuality, lesbianism fuelling insecurity in Nigeria – Emir

The Emir of Gwandu and the Chairman Kebbi Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Muhammadu Bashar, has attributed the current security challenges in the country to the way in which Nigerians have been ignoring God’s commands and adopting satanic behaviours.

The Emir said such satanic behaviours include rampant homosexuality, rape and lesbianism, which were causative factors of insecurity in the country.

Buhari, South African president to Meet in October for talks

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will meet with South Africa’s Cyril Ramaphosa in October for talks on trade and the security of citizens, Nigeria’s presidency said.

Buhari accepted an invitation to visit the South African leader to discuss “recurrent issues concerning well-being of the Nigerian community in South Africa, and the need to promote trade and investment,” Garba Shehu, a Nigerian government spokesman, said in an emailed statement.
