UAE suspends three-month tourist visa offer to Nigerians

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has suspended the issuance of three months tourist visa to Nigerians.
This is coming two days after five Nigerians were arrested for robbing a Bureau de Change operator of Dh2.3 million (N225.4 million) in Sharjai, Dubai.
The suspects were identified as Chimuanya Emmanuel Ozoh, Benjamin Nwachukwu Ajah, Kingsley Ikenna Ngoka, Tochukwu Leonard Alisi and Chile Micah Ndunagu.

Rivers: Court dismisses suit seeking to stop INEC from collating results

A Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja, has dismissed the suit seeking to stop the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from collating results of the governorship election held in Rivers State on 9th March 2019.

Justice Inyang Ekwo in a Judgment held that the court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the matter.

Emeka Ihedioha, Governor- elect of Imo State, has constituted a 139-man Transition Technical Committee as he prepares to resume work on May 29.

There is a three-member Transition Committee made up of Dr. Ernest Ebi (Chairman), Dr. Kema Chikwe (Vice Chairman) and Chinedu Okpaleke (Secretary) as well as 12 Sectoral Sub-committees.

Ihedioha’s media aide, Chibuike Onyeukwu, stated on Monday that the committee members would be inaugurated on April 3 at the Rockview Hotel, Owerri by 12 noon.
