The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has assured that it was fully on ground to ensure that road accidents were reduced during the ember months.
It also advised both commercial and private vehicle drivers on the need to ensure full compliance to all road safety rules and regulations.
Sector Commander, FRSC Niger State, Malam Yusuf Garba, spoke on efforts to check accidents during the ember months.
He said that the command embarked on series of enlightenment campaigns and partnered with relevant agencies to reduce accidents on the highways.
The Commander spoke through the Deputy Corps Commandant, Sector Head of Operations, Mr. Matthew Olonisaye.
His words: “We are fully on ground to ensure accident-free movements or reduce the rate of accidents to the barest minimal across Niger State.
“Though FRSC cannot completely stop accidents from occurring due to some human error and natural causes, what we do is to ensure we curtail accidents to the barest minimal through enlightenment campaigns and partnering relevant agencies we have embarked upon”.
