Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has assured of its determination to reposition the performance of its staff for effective services in North East Region.
This was disclosed by Director General, SON Mr. Osita Aboloma, in Bauchi at opening ceremony of a three-day capacity building for officers from the North East Zone.
Represented by the Director, Human Resources, Alhaji Usman Abdulkadir, he said that training and building capacity of the staff was a policy and a continious process of the organization to achieve the desired goal.
According to him, the training will also strategies towards galvanizing the standardization and quality assurance of micro, small and medium enterprises nationwide.
Aboloma said that the organization also gave the staff and officers the orientation on factory supervision and investigation according to the law that established SON.
His words: "The training in future will produce staff that are charismatic and motivative leadership, effective quality management system implementation, engagement of people, competence and capacity building to provision of needed resources."
Abaloma said that the training would also improve the participants spectrum and technical aspects of the service to enhance process of repositioning for optimal performance of the organization.
The participants were drawn from Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Taraba, Borno and Yobe states office.
