Madumere made the appeal during an interaction with the newsmen in his official residence in Owerri Capital City of Imo State.

While describing Nigerians as the

winners and heroes of Democracy, he maintained that the APC government was a blessing to Nigeria, disclosing that Nigeria was at ground zero due to mis-governance coupled endemic large-scale corruption in the polity before the emergence of the present government. He therefore extolled President Buhari's leadership qualities and political will to tackle hydra-headed monster of corruption.

Besides, he applauded the deregulation policy of the oil sector, saying it will give room for investment from the private sector since the subsidies were going to the privileged few at the expense of the Nigerians.

He averred that money saved from the sector will be appreciably ploughed into other productive sectors of the economy and also create room for participation of other stakeholders in the industry.

He also assessed the Owelle Rochas Okorocha-led Rescue Mission, which he described as highly successful in its five years of being in power.

He also spoke about security situation in the state, which he said placed the state on precipice before the emergence of Rescue Mission Administration. He recaptured that Governor Okorocha took it as a challenge and in collaboration of the security agencies turned the situation around for good.

Agreeing that there has been recent reports of the incidences of kidnapping recently, he however disclosed that the government was on top of the matter as some of them had been arrested. He however empahsized Government hard-line stance in the matter by ensuring that it pulls down the property of those found guilty and those abating crime to serve as a deterrent to others.

He enumerated what he described as magic of Rescue Mission Government in the area of infrastructure, massive road construction and rehabilitation .

He further scored his Government very high in the area of education describing it as one area where Government has demonstrated it's belief in social justice by ensuring that every child irrespective of background gets empowerment through free education policy of the government, which he said is a function of sacrifice.

He therefore called on the people of Imo State and Nigerians in general to be patience and patriotic assuring that Nigeria will bounce back better e economically and otherwise since it is going through re-building.
