NBA Yobe State Chapter holds Law Week in May

Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Yobe State Chapter Holds Law Week in May 2017 and intends to speaks on  Human Rights,civil liberty and social justice  the question for post conflict society.
The chapter is organising an annual lecture which will focus on important issues.
Notable among the Speakers are The Dean Faculty of Law, Bayero University, Kano, Professor Mamman Lawan Yusufari and Prominent Members of the Yobe State Judiciary.
They will be speaking at the annual lecture organised by the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA Yobe State Chapter.
This is one of the programme of activities of this Year's Law Week and annual lecture organized by the NBA in the State with the theme’ Human Rights,Civil Liberty and Social Justice  the Question for Post Conflict Society' 
Giving a breakdown of the programme at the Congress meeting in Damaturu, Chairman of NBA, Yobe State Chapter, Barrister Bashir M. Salihu said other events slated for the law week programme of the branch includes awards of excellence to six Persons, Law Dinner, Football Match, Lectures and other activities.
According to him, the theme of the forthcoming law week is very apt because of the need to assess how effective lawyers and judges at all levels of court have either encourage or discourage human right issues.
” This topic was selected after much deliberation with the stakeholders in the profession. We believe this is the time to look inward and assess ourselves as lawyer whether we are doing well or not interns of protecting Human right at this time when peace is returning to this Geo-political region.
We would gather very capable persons for the lecture and we believe they will do justice to the topic,” he said.
He used to forum to commend Yobe State Government for the support to the NBA in the State which enabled the Association to own a new office complex fully furnished in the state capital.
