Delta Forum elects new executive in Bayelsa

The Delta Forum, the highest socio - political organization of all the Delta communities in Bayelsa State has elected a new executive to pilot its affairs for the next three years.

In a peacefully election that was supervised by the Supreme Council for Non – Indigenes, the following persons were elected and sworn-in: Pastor Jacob Ogbor (Isoko)  President; Mrs Angela Ishioma  Dime (Ndokwa)  first Vice President; Elder  Ayewubaka Alfred (Ijaw ), Second Vice President;  Mr J. B.  Keleye (Urhobo ) third vice president; Mr Ogedegbe Kitika (Ijaw), Secretary; Evangelist Ohure  Cyril Odemero (Isoko), Financial Secretary; Alhaji  Lawrence  Chukwudifu (Ndokwa), Treasurer; and Mrs Patience Olokpa (Urhobo), Women Leader.

After sworn-in by the President - General of Supreme Council For Non - Indigenes living in Bayelsa State, Ade Bakare, they were urged to live up-to the expectations by  being transparent and diligent in the performance of their duties and leverage on the solid foundation that was laid by the immediate past president of Delta Forum, Deacon Kingsley Eduvie Akpaka.

According to him, “Your predecessor was able to project Delta Forum in a dignified and respectful manner as his tenure was marked with unity, love and progress which catapulted the Delta Forum to an enviable height among the comity of not only communities, but also at the level of the Supreme Council For Non - Indigenes in Bayelsa State.

In is inaugural speech, the new president of Delta Forum, Ogbor, expressed appreciation for his emergence and thanked Deltans for the privilege given to him to serve and promised that he would not disappoint the confidence reposed on him, trusting God for the Wisdom of Solomon to guide him throughout his tenure and sought the support, prayers and cooperation of all and sundry.
